Innovator Insights Survey 2022

What the innovator community has to say

By actively seeking innovator insights, we work with our Partners to identify areas for improvement to ensure that the innovation pathway to successful delivery into BAU is as efficient and as effective as possible. Our most recent insights survey collated feedback and suggestions from over 200 innovators, which we analysed and compiled into the following key insights report.

What you can expect from the Innovator Insights Survey 2022:

  • An overview of the barriers to innovation and the steps being taken to resolve them.
  • Priority actions that the EIC and its Partners to focus on.
  • Next steps as to how we’re going to implement these key priority actions and what that means for innovators.

Below we've summarised some of the top-level insights and actions we're going to take over the next 3 years.

"We collectively welcome the engagement of our innovation SME community with the EIC to provide us with a breadth and depth of insights across the end-to-end process of innovation deployment. Whilst it is encouraging to note that progress has been made in key areas, we know there is more work to be done to address the barriers to Innovation identified. Doing so is critical to ensure that the investment we make in innovation projects results in the effective and timely implementation of innovation that ultimately delivers consumer benefit. The EIC Advisory Board welcome and accept the feedback and the recommendations made following analysis by EIC, and we look forward to working collaboratively with the innovation SME community to ensure we deliver tangible and long-term improvements for everyone involved."
